Meet Clare
I am a Registered General Nurse, Midwife and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant with over twenty five years’ experience working with mothers and babies. I have worked in the UK, US and Ireland with 13 years’ experience working in hospital Labour & Delivery and postnatal care units.
Since moving back to Ireland in 2000 I have been teaching Antenatal classes and Preparing for Breastfeeding classes and providing breastfeeding support for mothers in the Cork area. In 2001 I started up a voluntary organisation; the Kinsale Mothers Group to provide support to new mothers in my local area and I ran the group until 2012. I have appeared on TV and been on the radio and in newspapers as well as presenting talks to health professionals and the public about breastfeeding over the years.
I am the mother to 22 year old twins and live just outside beautiful Kinsale, Co. Cork. I love my work and believe it is an absolute privilege to help women during this important time of their lives, helping them become empowered with their own mothering journey.
